Forty swimmers made the short trek to Newmarket to celebrate the first week of advent at Newmarket and what a Christmas celebration it was. The swimmers were awesome achieving a total of 134 PB’s and finishing top visiting Club, competing against swimmers from Cambridge, Norwich, Deben, March, Royston, Bottisham, Huntingdon and Mildenhall.

Joshua Botes and Kai Dhamari each achieving 8 PB’s with Emily Daybell and Dexter Davey in fine form with 7 PB’s each with many other fine swims from the team. For some of our very young swimmers competing for the very first time, we had both Harleen Wilkes and Nelisa Ketipearachchi winning medals and achieving several PB’s each.

There were many standout performances with 2 club records falling to Alex Pashley in the 100 IM and Zoe Thompson in 200 Breaststroke. To top it all Florence Law came away as top girl swimmer at the Meet.
