All our swimmers performed at their very best pulling out some great results at the first weekend of County Championships in Cambridge with swimmers competing in 43 finals and bringing back 4 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze medals. All our competing swimmers achieved a PB. The team were able to stack up 78 PB’s in total with Florence Law achieving 9 PB’s, Joshua Botes 6, Zoe Thompson and Wilf Sole each achieving 5.
Club records also fell over the weekend with Florence Law claiming 4 new records Alex Pashley and Zoe Thompson 2 each and Annabelle Smith 1.
I would like to congratulate all our swimmers for doing so well and being such stars both in the water and on poolside over a very busy and tiring weekend of competition.
Thank you to our Team Managers and club volunteers who made sure the weekend went so smoothly for our swimmers.
I would also like to thank some unsung heroes Mark Banwell, Sam Hatch, Matt Daybell, Martyn Fresher, Erin Latimer and Mia Mansfield for stepping in to ensure all our club swimmers were able to train over the weekend at the Hive. A fantastic effort all round.
